Yemeni Coffeeby Dr. Import, Switzerland

Green coffee

Unroasted Yemeni beans, kept in separated lots so you know what you are roasting.

We supply green Yemeni coffee to roasteries, cafés with in-house roasting, and experienced home roasters. Lots are kept separated by region and crop year rather than blended into a single 'Yemen' line, because those differences are the reason to buy the origin at all.

What comes with every lot

  • Region and, where available, the village or cooperative collection point.
  • Crop year — stated, not implied.
  • Moisture content and water activity at the time of offer.
  • Defect count and screen distribution.
  • Our cupping notes, and the score where the lot has been formally scored.

Samples

For commercial quantities we send samples before you commit — normally 100 to 300 g per lot, enough to roast and cup properly. Sample cost is credited against a subsequent order. Tell us what you are trying to build and we will send lots that are actually relevant rather than everything we have.

Storage

Green Yemeni coffee holds well but not indefinitely. Keep it between 15 and 20 °C, below 60 % relative humidity, away from light and from anything aromatic. In a barrier liner, a good lot stays lively for around twelve months; in plain jute in a warm room, expect to notice fade after six.

Coffee prices move every week. Ask us for today's.

We quote green and roasted Yemeni coffee per lot, against the current harvest and the day's freight and exchange rates. Tell us the origin, the quantity and when you need it, and you get a written offer.

We answer in German, French, Italian, English and Arabic, normally within one working day.
