Privacy policy

What we collect, why, and how long we keep it.

This website is operated by Dr. Import, Switzerland. We process personal data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

What we collect

  • Enquiries. If you write to us, call us or use the enquiry form, we process the details you provide — name, e-mail address, telephone number, company and the content of your message — in order to answer you.
  • Server logs. Our hosting provider records technical data for each request, including IP address, time, requested page, referrer and browser identification. This is used for operation and security.
  • Cookies. This website sets no tracking cookies and uses no analytics or advertising services.

Web fonts

Typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts. Your browser therefore contacts a Google server, which receives your IP address. If you prefer to avoid this, the fonts can be hosted locally on request.

We process enquiry data on the basis of pre-contractual or contractual necessity and our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries. Server logs are processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating a secure website.

Retention

Enquiry data is kept as long as needed to deal with your request and thereafter in accordance with statutory retention obligations, which for commercial correspondence in Switzerland is generally ten years. Server logs are retained for a short period by the hosting provider.

Disclosure

We do not sell personal data. Data is disclosed only to service providers who need it to deliver our service — our hosting provider, and carriers and customs agents where an order is being shipped — and to authorities where the law requires it.

Hosting

This website is hosted by Infomaniak Network SA in Switzerland. Data processed through the site is stored on servers in Switzerland.

Your rights

You may request information about the data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, object to processing, and — where the GDPR applies — request data portability or lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Write to info@dr-import.ch.

Changes

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our processing or in the law. The current version is always the one published here.
